Is this floss really going to compost? It’s tougher than J&J’s “Reach,” making me feel I should reuse it a couple of times. What should I do with it – drop it into my yard debris bin? Help!

This floss is great! I’ve been using it for six months after my dental hygienist told me to stop using Glide because of how much plaque I had. The best floss Ever!! Works with both tight contacts and crowns and doesn’t cut into my fingers as do all the other types. This is both comfortable and effective and gives me no worries about plastics and PFAs I may contribute to the environment or my body.

I like this floss but calling it “biodegradable” when it’s made of polyester is a lie – polyester isn’t biodegradable.

Hi Friends, So – I was getting ready to order a refill for my floss jar, and I just noticed the floss is made from polyester. Ouch. I don’t understand. That’s petroleum. So, why is it being sold in all the cool zero-waste stores? I’m sure there’s a reason, but for now it feels like the wrong direction.

Hi! Well it’s a long story but there are silk and corn floss alternatives, however when we tested them they kept breaking so we decided to take the middle ground and offer a glass reusable option for the container but still have a polyester line.
